Hi, just got diagnosed with angina, based mainly on a treadmill test. Will be going for an angiogram next Friday when, in effect, the diagnosis will be completed and I'll know what I'm in for
In the meantime, I've started a blog about the whole experience at http://anginasurprise.wordpress.com/ - partly cos it's therapeutic writing stuff down, and partly to share experiences with others
Would love to hear what people think and anything reassuring about angiograms! |

You are on the right site to find out about others experiences in this field. I live in Blackpool I went to my GP on 14 December 2009 thinking I had indegestion problems. I was referred to the Lancashire Cardiac Centre and, within four weeks I'd had the stress test, angiogram and finally a quadruple bypass. It was only after the angiogram that I finally accepted that there was something seriously wrong with me - a bad case of denial!
I see that you are in the North West, where are you being treated?

Hi Colin, I went to Southport for tests but the angiogram will be at Aintree. Guess the angio will give the full picture - I feel I've only had half the diagnosis so far. Feel a bit tired, maybe from the betablockers, but the GTN spray seemed to pep me up a bit |
