hello everybody,decided to join,had a heart attack on 6/feb 2010,im 43 and very active.i run use tone weights and general fittish,i did smoke about 15 to 20 per day.and i cannot still beleive it,i feel very low at mo,i had two stents fitted to right side artery,and was told that left side was about 50% and if i lived in france that would have been done at the same time. cant wait to get back to normal hope its quick,i miss my exercise.and did you know i had no pain when it happened.just felt sick and very cold sweat and then collapsed. |

Hello Combat and welcome to the club. I had stents 15 years ago (in southampton) and I can Assure you there is a very good life after. The recovery is very very quick.
Do they plan to do the other side at 50%? _________________ Steve

| hello wendywinblos,thanks for the reply,when i asked the surgeon the reply i got was it will only be done at 70%.so i have to wait until i have another heart attack if i survive it,or they are going to give me regular checks.they have not told me either.so still in the dark at mo. |

Hi my names Carol im 35 years old i had a Heart Attack Feb 2009 have not touched a cig since,and no longer work nights.it was a very frightening time in my life it caused me to suffer from depression and anxiety attacks which i never had before, slowerly i have come to terms and have gone back to work and am trying to live again sometimes i just find things hard. i had a stent placed to open one blocked artery also i cardiac arrested on way to hospital,i now have to take several tablets but hey im here....just which i did not feel so tired all the time am struggling to cope with it some days are better than others but it can be quite fustrating indeed.
